1. Who we are

EverythingConvert provides browser-based and web-assisted file conversion tools, including PDF, document, image, audio, video, and GIF conversion features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using EverythingConvert.com and related pages or services.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we may collect your email address, user ID, nickname or display name, authentication provider, login timestamps, account role, and subscription or plan level.

Google sign-in information. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the basic account information Google provides for authentication, such as your email address and profile identifier. We do not receive your Google password.

Usage information. We may collect limited usage data such as the number of conversions attempted, the tool used, plan eligibility, browser session identifiers, IP-derived usage identity, error states, and general technical logs. This helps us operate free usage limits, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Payment and donation information. Payments, subscriptions, and donations may be processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe may provide us with payment status, customer identifiers, plan information, invoice status, and limited billing details needed to manage paid access.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting, authentication, and security providers may process IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, timestamps, and diagnostic data.

3. Files you convert

Standard EverythingConvert converters process files entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your file is never uploaded to our servers for these conversions — the work happens on your device. No EverythingConvert server receives or stores your file during a standard conversion.

Some tools and optional modes require server-side processing for features such as OCR, AI-powered extraction, or advanced conversions that cannot run reliably in the browser. Wherever a tool or mode uploads your file (or a rendered image of its pages), this is indicated on that tool's page before you convert. Server-processed files are used only for the requested conversion and are automatically deleted from our processing servers within 24 hours of job completion. AI tool uploads (transcription, background removal, ID photos) are deleted within 24 hours.

We do not sell file contents. We do not use file contents for advertising or model training. Users should avoid processing files that contain highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, legal, or confidential business information with any online tool unless they understand the risks.

4. How we use information

We use collected information to create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, provide conversion tools, apply free and Pro usage limits, manage subscriptions, process donations, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot errors, improve site performance, communicate service updates, and comply with legal obligations.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand which tools are most useful, improve conversion quality, and plan future features. Aggregated information does not identify a specific user by itself.

5. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

EverythingConvert may use browser storage, cookies, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember language preferences, store local usage counters, maintain session state, and improve navigation between pages.

Authentication providers, hosting providers, and payment providers may also use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent login, account features, language preferences, or usage tracking from working correctly.

Optional analytics and advertising storage is controlled through the cookie consent banner. You can reopen those choices at any time from the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

6. Advertising and Google AdSense

EverythingConvert displays third-party advertising, including ads served through Google AdSense, to help keep our conversion tools free to use.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to EverythingConvert and to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Advertising partners may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location, and interactions with ads, governed by their own privacy policies. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of personalized advertising from many third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices, or, for users in the EEA and UK, at youronlinechoices.eu. Where required by law, we request your consent before advertising or analytics cookies are set.

7. Third-party service providers

We rely on third-party providers to operate the service. These may include Supabase for authentication, database, user profile, and account-related storage; Google for optional Google sign-in; Stripe for payments, subscriptions, and donations; Vercel or similar hosting providers for deployment, logs, edge functions, and site delivery; and browser/CDN providers for fonts, scripts, icons, and static resources.

These providers process information under their own privacy policies and security practices. We choose providers that are widely used for web services, but we do not control every aspect of their independent processing.

8. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us run the website, authenticate users, process payments, host files or code, prevent abuse, or provide customer support.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, investigate security issues, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of EverythingConvert and others.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, billing records, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

Browser-based conversion files are never stored on our servers. AI tool uploads (transcription, background removal, ID photos) are stored on secure servers only for processing and are automatically deleted within 24 hours of job completion. No uploaded files are used for advertising or model training.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including trusted hosting and authentication providers, access controls, HTTPS where supported, and limited collection practices. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, and users are responsible for choosing strong passwords, protecting their devices, and signing out on shared computers.

11. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information associated with your account by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under laws such as GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other applicable privacy laws.

You may stop using the service at any time. You can also clear browser storage or cookies through your browser, although this may reset language choices, local usage counters, or login state. Paid subscriptions and billing requests may need to be handled through Stripe or through the account support process.

12. International users

EverythingConvert may be accessed from different countries, and our providers may process information in the United States, Canada, the European Economic Area, or other locations where they operate. By using the service, you understand that information may be processed outside your country of residence.

13. Children

EverythingConvert is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our tools, providers, payment features, or legal requirements change. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of EverythingConvert after changes means you accept the updated policy.
